Well, I have to confess that I didn’t think it was possible to write an 85,000 word first draft in eight weeks, including one week of plotting. I mostly have NaNoWriMo to thank for it plus a bunch of books about writing, a truckload of great novels I’ve read, a writing course or two, and many hours at the keyboard.
